Our Mission

Program Services

  • Crisis Intervention Services

    Our Crisis Intervention Services provides emergency placement for those who meet eligibility for the program. This service allows Porcelain Dolls of the Carolinas to take emergency referrals from DSS, Area Mental Health Centers, and Court Systems. A clinical intake person is available 24 hours a day by telephone or in person to take referrals.

     

    Life Skills

    Porcelain Dolls of the Carolinas shall assistance with housekeeping skills, financial/banking skills, meal preparation, parenting skills and communications skills to be efficient in their home. We will assist clients with Medicaid applications and resources to start the process of getting healthcare and the essentials needed for a healthy lifestyle.

     

    Transitional Housing

    The counselors will work with the clients by providing resources that prepare them to transition into their home. We will assist in apartment search; help with furnishings and budget planning. Our organization shall provide vouchers for individuals that successfully complete the program to support living independently.

     

    Workforce Development

    Porcelain Dolls of the Carolinas will educate through workshops on resume writing, the fundamental of completing an application, interviewing process, and business dress attire. We shall network with employment agencies to get job postings and network with other non-profits organizations for training credentialing.

    Scholarship Program

    Porcelain Dolls of the Carolinas shall offer scholarships to assist clients to further their college education. The Board of Directors shall review all scholarship applicants. All applicants will be required to follow the application process and must have met all treatment goals.

    Educational Program

    Porcelain Dolls of the Carolinas will be an off-campus site that will provide educational skills for GED preparation.

    Counseling

    Our organization provides individual and group counseling in-house. Each client will participate in group therapy each week to maintain mental health stability. We also provide substance abuse counseling and prevention.

    Child & Adolescent Development

    PDC will assist children and adolescents who experience emotional, mental, or social damage as caused by exposure to life’s circumstances.  Our services will provide therapeutic intervention strategies to address both emotional and behavioral problems of children and adolescents. We encourage positive interaction among families in transition and educate children and adolescents in non-violent conflict resolution methods.   We also provide close, dependable relationships as a foundation for dialogue to reduce stress in children and adolescents as associated with personal dilemmas.  All services are provided within a safe and secure home environment to re-establish a sense of routine and normalcy.
